At The Learning Nest, we embrace the Charlotte Mason philosophy of education, which values the whole child and nurtures a love of learning through rich, meaningful experiences.
We believe every child is uniquely created by God with the ability to wonder, imagine, and grow in knowledge. Children learn best when they are given meaningful opportunities to engage with ideas, ask questions, and make connections in the world around them. Our role as educators is to provide a broad and beautiful feast of learning that feeds the mind, heart, and character.
Through living books, nature study, music, art, movement, and habit training, we foster an environment where learning is dynamic and engaging. Our literature-based curriculum uses high-quality books to bring subjects to life, while open-ended, hands-on experiences deepen understanding and spark imagination.
Children explore monthly themes in history, science, culture, nature study, and literature, creating meaningful connections across subjects and encouraging a lifelong love of learning.

We use the Story of the World curriculum, woven together with fun, enriching cultural activities that bring history and the wider world to life.
Math & STEM
Hands-on math and STEM activities that build number sense, curiosity, and problem-solving through real exploration.
Science & Nature Study
Weekly nature study and outdoor science — observing, sketching, and wondering at the world God created.
Art
Children learn through creativity — watercolor, pastels, pencil drawings, and hands-on projects that let them create and appreciate beauty.
Faith, Character & Spanish
Morning meeting anchors the day — prayer, gratitude, character work, Bible stories, and beginning Spanish.
